Barcelona brings together the cycling industry for the first edition of Le Prologue

Lymbus and Volata are launching a new meeting place for brands, journalists, riders and content creators in the run-up to the Grand Départ of the Tour de France.

Barcelona, 3 July 2026. Barcelona is currently experiencing an exceptional atmosphere centred around cycling. The Tour de France’s Grand Départ has turned the city into the international epicentre of the sport, with professional teams, riders, the media and industry representatives already making their presence felt on its streets.

It is against this backdrop that Le Prologue has been launched, an initiative organised by Lymbus, an agency specialising in sports communication, and Volata, Spain’s leading cycling magazine. The event aims to become a meeting point for all those involved in the cycling ecosystem: brands, journalists, content creators, athletes and industry professionals.

Held at the Palau Dalmases, in the heart of the Born district, Le Prologue offers a space designed to foster connections within the industry, encourage networking and spark conversations about innovation, products and cycling culture, coinciding with one of the sport’s moments of greatest international prominence.

The event features a carefully curated exhibition area where some of the sector’s leading brands showcase their latest innovations, allowing journalists, content creators and industry professionals to get a close look at their products. Participating brands include Zwift, Sidi, Selle Italia, Coros, Moustache, Julbo, OQUO, Berria and Nutripure, in a space designed to encourage the exchange of ideas and the creation of new opportunities for collaboration.

The programme is rounded off with several original illustrations by the artist Pep Boatella, which add an artistic dimension to the event and help to create an experience that combines sport, design and creativity.

Over the two days, Le Prologue will be attended by leading figures from the world of cycling, including Alberto Contador, one of the most successful Spanish cyclists in history and one of the few riders to have won all three Grand Tours, as well as Pau Martí, a young rider from the NSN Cycling team and recent stage winner at the Tour of Rwanda.

Another key figure at Le Prologue is Juan Clavijo, a Eurosport commentator and member of the ‘El Maillot’ podcast, who gave a talk to give attendees an insight into the work that goes on behind the scenes of a cycling broadcast. During the session, Clavijo explained in detail how a stage of the Tour de France is prepared, the various roles involved in television coverage, and the process that transforms a race into a narrative capable of connecting with millions of fans.

Beyond simply showcasing products, Le Prologue was created with the ambition of establishing itself as a leading forum for the cycling industry, where brands, media organisations, athletes and content creators can share ideas, discover the latest developments and forge new professional relationships.

With Barcelona currently serving as the cycling capital of the world thanks to the Grand Départ of the Tour de France, Lymbus and Volata are backing Le Prologue as an initiative designed to strengthen ties between all stakeholders in the sector and contribute to the growth of cycling culture from a professional, creative and collaborative perspective.
