Technology with Designation of Origin

The new campaign of the technical clothing brand Lurbel reaffirms its positioning as a technological brand coinciding with the launch of the SS26 collection.

Ontinyent (Valencia) - For more than three decades, Lurbel has built its identity around technological innovation applied to sports textiles. With headquarters and production entirely in Ontinyent (Valencia), the Spanish brand has developed its own model based on research, development and local manufacturing to create technical garments designed to meet the real needs of athletes.

Far from outsourcing innovation, Lurbel has opted to develop its own textile technologies within the company. The result is an ecosystem of technical solutions that combine fibre selection, textile structure design and in-house manufacturing processes, designed to improve performance, comfort and skin protection during sporting activity.

Proprietary technologies: innovation developed from within

One of the pillars of Lurbel is its textile technologies. Over the years, the brand has developed an ecosystem of technical solutions designed to meet the specific needs of the athlete: moisture management, thermoregulation, odour control, ergonomics and protection against friction. Lurbel currently has 8 proprietary technologies and 2 textile structures developed by the brand.

These technologies are the result of an internal process that combines research, design of textile structures and tests in real conditions with athletes. This approach allows the brand to continuously evolve its technical solutions and adapt them to different types of activity, intensity and environment.

Skin care, a priority

At the heart of Lurbel's product development is a clear priority: protecting the athlete's skin.

During exercise, friction, humidity or temperature changes can directly affect comfort and performance. For this reason, all the technologies developed by the brand are aimed at creating stable conditions between the skin and the garment, reducing the accumulation of moisture and minimising friction points.

This approach is embodied in technologies such as Regenactiv®, the first developed by Lurbel, conceived to care for the skin during prolonged efforts. Thanks to its antibacterial, antifungal and anti-odour action, it helps prevent irritation and the proliferation of fungi, keeping the skin in optimum condition even during long-lasting activities or for people with particularly sensitive skin.

When exercise intensity increases or weather conditions require it, Lurbel combines Regenactiv® fabric with other technical fibres to create its Bmax technology, specially designed for sports and which optimises moisture management and reduces friction, helping to prevent the appearance of blisters during activity.

Lurbel's technologies have their origin in Regenactiv®, developed in its health division with clinical studies that endorse its efficacy in contact with the skin. From this base, Lurbel adapts this technology to the sports field by developing specific yarns that combine performance and skin care. This is how the Bmax models were born , designed to optimise comfort and reduce friction during physical activity.

A new era for merino wool

For the 2026 spring-summer collection, Lurbel introduces a new interpretation of merino wool into its technological universe. The brand works with this natural fibre from a technical perspective, combining it with advanced textile structures and proprietary processes to enhance its thermal regulation, softness and moisture management properties.

This development is presented in three versions: Merino Pure, 100% merino wool with no synthetic blends, prioritizing natural comfort and breathability; Merino Dry, combining merino with cross-section polyester to favour rapid evacuation of sweat in moderate or high temperatures; and Merino Hollow, integrating merino with hollow-section polypropylene to balance thermal regulation and humidity control in cold or mid-season conditions.

The result is a new generation of garments that integrates the advantages of natural fibre with the technological know-how that Lurbel has developed over more than three decades.

New SS26 Collection

With this SS26 collection, Lurbel continues to reinforce its commitment to technological development applied to sportswear. The proposal is headed by the new line of Toe Series socks, the redesign of the Venus and Cristallo women's tops, now with Regenactiv®, and the renewal of the merino wool product line, which brings the natural fibre to the technological universe of the brand.

All this within a model of innovation where research, development and manufacturing is carried out entirely in Ontinyent (Valencia). An approach that reflects the brand's values and guarantees quality, proximity and total control at every stage of the product.
